Benchmark Community Bank is pleased to announce that John L. Webb has completed the Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking in Memphis, TN. Held on the campus of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, the graduation ceremony capped the final week of in-person classes held May 17-22, 2026. Mike Hobbs, Chairman of the Board of Regents of Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the board.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President/Regional Manager at Benchmark, Webb was one of 83 students from across the U.S. to complete the three-year curriculum, which included intensive study regarding commercial banking functions. In addition to coursework, students attended the annual Paul W. Barret, Jr. Lecture Series event. Darren Woodson, three-time Super Bowl Champion and Business Leader, addressed School participants and invited guests.
"John Webb distinguished himself in banking prior to joining Benchmark in 2012 and has continued his growth through various positions in bank management," said Benchmark President/CEO Neil Burke. "We are very proud to support him as he continues his banking journey."
Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking has been providing advanced banking education for fifty-five years, with a curriculum designed to provide a high degree of understanding of all commercial banking functions. During the three-year program, graduates received in excess of 200 hours of instruction and prepared in-depth reports in eight areas of study. There were 230 financial industry professionals from thirty states participating in the 2026 session.
